BULLS ICONIC EVO TR 1 Video Review – $5.1k Fast, Full Suspension Commuting Electric Bike

https://electricbikereview.com/bulls/iconic-evo-tr-1/ The BULLS ICONIC EVO TR 1 is a comfortable full suspension urban electric bike with adjustable upright body position, wider Boost hub spacing and sturdy thru-axles front and rear, high volume tires offer comfort and stability, they don’t have reflective sidewalls but they do offer puncture protection. Totally blacked out aesthetic, everything matches and looks very cool, wires and cables are internally routed, the frame comes in two sizes and the top tube is sloped for lower stand over, great kickstand hardware and positioning. High quality integrated lights with brake activation so the rear light goes bright when you stop, sturdy alloy fenders and a sleek pannier rack provide utility for commuting, extra large 203mm hydraulic disc brakes provide great stopping power and fast cooling. The tough accessories, high powered Bosch Speed motor, and PowerTube 500 battery make this a heavier ebike at roughly 60lbs, Bosch Purion display panel isn’t removable and doesn’t have an active USB port for charging accessories, reduction gearing system adds a touch of drag and the motor produces some noise at high RPM output.

@10:06 This is the somewhat hard to find Shimano hierarchy – great reference, Court! Also, kudos on calling out the charge port cover – they should use magnetic covers on that and the lock that is unprotected (rain, dirt, dust, etc is not good for lock cylinders) Thx for another review!

Kevin Willis says:

This is the ebike I want! I presently own a Riese & Mueller Tinker HS, but this solves the few problems I have with it. The Bulls ebike has a full suspension, integrated motor that is less obvious, larger tires that provide more stability for one or no hands riding, and a local dealer network – live in the Chicagoland area. Finally, it costs about the same as my Tinker.
I thank Bulls for providing an urban ebike enthusiast with such an option in its ebike selection!

Fancy a Bev Mate? says:

Another great video court, I’m travelling over 22 miles per day on my haibike (some very steep hills where I live) and the bosch cx in eMTB mode is Brilliant! I wish I would have bought an e bike years ago. Recommending them to everyone wanting to get back into cycling but are either unfit or out of shape. Cheers

Douglas Shieh says:

I like upright, comfortable commuters. What are some other comparable bikes to this Bulls?

Milivoj Oršikić says:

And he hits the mudfender while taking of the battery 😀 !!

Philip Strom says:

Great video!
Wish Bulls would put more dealers or partner with dealerships in midwest

Joseph Miller says:

Have you or can you look into the ‘E-rocket’ electric bike?

HackHunter1835 says:

Filming…then a Stromer ST5 rolls by. Perfect!

Perfect setup on this TR 1, looks like a comfortable ride for rails to trails and city commuting.

Dave Ricker says:

Are the tires and rims tubeless ready?
And a friendly comment…..you can tell by the shape of the text…..get rid of the gum .
Thanks, you do a GREAT job !!

helenHTID says:

Does the small chain ring hinder getting to high speeds?

nestogonzo1 says:

Agreed, sweet bike!

karoslif says:

Now THAT, is a very nice bike. Btw, what helmet is that?

ForbinColossus says:

Love this commuter/trail design but wish they’d use FOX shocks! (I couldn’t spend that much and accept suntour). Also, prefer a rear rack that accepts a trunk bag instead of panniers.

J R says:

24:55 Thankfully the brakes work!!!

John Durkin says:

Its nice to have a review of this bike, but I have to say its hard to buy. Propel is taking pre orders, but the Bulls web site is Euro centric and doesn’t list any dealers in the USA. For buyers in Europe seems no problem. All the ebike manufacturers have to deal with the Haibike Flyon tsunami this year, which is a good thing. I expect to see so many awesome bikes (like the TR1) in 2020……BTW, Wall Street Journal worth a read.

James Ledesma says:

I still can’t believe you’re indivorcing this overpriced piece of junk bike
