INITIAL OPINION – Cannondale CAADX 105 2016 Cyclocross Bike

This is my initial review of the Cannondale CAADX 105. Just come back from a ride, so apologies for the dirty bike. It’s not too indepth, so real stats, but hopefully gives you a general insight into the bike.
Enjoy the ride!

As you chaps across the pond say: Cracking good eval. I like the useful tips from actual use. The 2017 CAADX 105 scrapped the Promax brakes for the TRP Spyres you mentioned. Full on hydraulics are great, but they can leave you stranded with a pressure failure.

Another reviewer went with Continental GatorSkins for day to day use and longer road excursions. The stock tires (we spell it correctly) are fairly useful as a jumping off point. The 2017 has a slightly different geometry from the 2016. It’s a bit taller standover and the BB is higher. I should take a 56, but I am riding both a 54 and a 56 to see which is easier to ride.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I’ll do a first take and a +100 mile survey on the 2017 as soon as I can.

He doesn’t understand what a cyclo cross chainset ratio is! Thse guys who ‘review’ bikes don’t know what they are talking about. It’s not a review it’s a bloke’s opinion of his bike.
