Trek Powerfly 8 FS Plus Video Review – Full Suspension Electric Trail Bike

https://electricbikereview.com/trek/powerfly-8-fs-plus/ The Trek Powerfly 8 FS Plus is a full suspension trail bike from one of the “big three” brands in the US, it offers 130 mm travel with custom tuning for the added weight and power of the bike, excellent weight distribution. Quick-release wheels, removable battery, and removable display make the bike flexible and easy to transport or charge, integrated Micro-USB charging port on the display panel to top your phone or GPS. Innovative adjustable length seat stays, knock-block steering with failsafe rubber guard and longer axles showcase how Trek is pushing bike technology forward, sturdy skid plate and minimalist guide. A bit heavier than expected at ~50.1 lbs, no bottle cage bosses, the Bosch CX drive system produces a bit more noise but offers excellent torque, battery is not as hidden or integrated as some competing models.

Cool bike, but I just can’t get past the price for what it is, a 20 mph class 1 pedelec. For $2500 I could get a MUCH more powerful and longer range bike from Luna. Granted it wouldn’t be as polished, but way more fun.

that bend behind the cranks looks like it’ll be the first place to break. It’s a very steep bend and I can imagine alot or tension on it. That being said though it is ‘trek’ so I hope they’ve looked into that fully.

I never understood why so many manufacturers insist on such a poor battery integration: the empty space above the upper part of the battery is not only wasted, but completely useless. How about they make a longer, flatter battery, AND then give us something as “special” as water bottle cage??? (Turbo-levo style)

Trek is a solid brand , I still have my old 4800 feels like new (I don’t ride much ) . she is a nice rep.
