Top 2017 Mountain Bikes: 2017 Intense Tracer Bike Review & Test Ride P. 1 of 2 #testride #bikereview

Top 2017 Mountain Bikes: 2017 Intense Tracer Bike Review and Test Ride. Join me and Rick today as we explore Vale Lake trails. Today Im reviewing the 2017 Intense Tracer. This is a special review for me since I currently own the 2016 Intense Tracer. The Intense Tracer was equipped with Rockshox Pike Fork. Shimano XT 1×11, with XT brake levers and breaks. The 2017 Intense Tracer that Im demoing today is an expert build, which is just above the entry build. The wheel set on this expert build is quite heavy compared to the pro-build. I highly recommend getting the Pro-build the weight difference on the mountain bikes wheel set was very substantial. The way in which the 2017 Intense Tracer differentiates itself form the 2016 Intense Tracer is that it has boost, rear shock is mounted to the bottom tube, unlike the 2016 Intense Tracer that is connected to the top tube. The geometry of the 2017 Intense Tracer is lower and slacker than the previous model. The Rockshox fork also sports 165mm in travel in front compared to the previous 160 from the years previous Intense Tracer. All these modifications make for bike that is geared more towards enduro than the 2016 Intense Tracer. The is a two part review, which starts with some steep climbs and some descent single track. The following episode will have the full on descent from the top! LET’S DROP IN!

I need a Job! lol

Brandon Clark says:

those trails are pretty mellow for that much travel, honestly you would be a lot more effective out there with a light trail bike or even a slack hardtail

TD Bikes says:

class, that color way is fresh af. really enjoyed this video

TripleSteve says:

Like the intro! You didn’t seem real comfortable on it at the start?

Regular Guy Mountain Biking says:

Question, do you think the front felt heavier because of actual weight or could it be that the geometry of the bike is giving you less leverage to lift the front end?

Andy Hill says:

Nice ride fella. I recently got to demo the Intense Primer Factory 29’er at a demo day over here at Cannock Chase… that was an absolutely brilliant bike, rode like a dream and monstered everything I rode it over… didn’t feel anything like a 29’er in the techy twisty fun stuff. Only problem was it’s £8700 and the wife would remove a selection of my bodily parts if I bought one!

signontheline1 says:

Ha! Ha! That song you’re singing is called Rock Steady…The lyrics are “We began to rock steady, steady rockin all night long…” You said “standing.” No biggie just funny…Cool video!!!

Kenneth Rhea says:

Woot Apple Valley love. BTW you lost traction on that climb because you got up to pedal so the rear wheel couldn’t stay planted.

Jason NOT Bourne says:

I thought this is the carbon version.

When are you going to start using data overlays on your Garmin

Rick Louie says:

That jump section came out pretty well! Great video quality all around I thought.

Ryan Docena says:

very nice first half review of that HULK bike bro! I don’t know maybe someday you could compare that to your previous bikes that you test rode before.

Only The Bold Project says:

Very Cool, I had a chance to test a S-Works Stumpjumper 6fattie and that was super fun, if you haven’t ridden that you should try. Super playful, blew my mind!!!! Keep doing you and Live-Life-Loud!!

Juan Martinez says:

Hey Tony….come on out to TEXAS…..LOTS OF ENDURO RACES OUT HERE…..ROCKY AND HILLS!!!!!

a cyclist says:

I’d like to see what you think of a Yeti sb6 comparison with the Tracer. Since you’ve been riding the Tracer for a while I want to see how you feel about the handling characteristics/ride of a MTB with a longer chainstay vs shorter chainstay. The Tracer has a decently shorter chainstay than the Yeti which is why I picked the sb6. Maybe a comparison video can be organized? Your channel has much potential to grow, and I really enjoy your videos. l Look forward to hearing what you have to say in the future, thanks for sharing.

Man, Intense does offer eye catching colors.

sito says:

how well does the bike climb and turns on switchback? does it track well down hill? I am not a downhiller but I like a bike that is agile turning
